PCRID's Board of Directors are elected members of the organization charged with carrying out PCRID's administrative functions. In addition to each Board member's specific duties, the Board holds General Membership Meetings and meets quarterly to discuss the organization's business.

These leadership positions are rewarding and give members the opportunity to build camaraderie among professionals in our field.  Elections take place at the PCRID Annual Conference during the Business Meeting and each board position has a two-year term. Incumbents may run again and eavery member's vote counts. Consider running for a Board position and make a difference in your profession and communities. 

Gina D'More, President 2017-2018

Gina brings a wealth of experience and perspectives on the field, not only as a RID Certified Deaf Interpreter, but also as a business owner, and a consumer of interpreting services. She is also involved in Deaf leadership and serves as an OGG delegate at the 2016 NAD conference.  

Currently, Gina is also the president of the Eastern Deaf Women's Bowling Association! This track record of organizational  leadership experience is certainly an asset to PCRID.

Traci Ison, Director of Community Relations, 2017-2018. 

Traci Ison began working in the DMV in 2010 and finally settled in MD in 2014. Her insight from having lived and worked in various Deaf communities around the country, is an asset to the PCRID board. Traci's goal for her 2017-2018 term is to create positive change in the local Deaf, Interpreting, and Stakeholder communities through fostering meaningful collaboration.

Director of Membership, Paris McTizic 2018 & 2019. Membership@pcrid.org

As a proud Afro-Latino, Paris’ roots stem from the vibrant and sunny South Florida. In 2015, he sought to further his education and dive deeper into one of the nation's largest Deaf communities right here in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  While studying to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Interpretation from Gallaudet University (2017), he has been involved in several Deaf and interpreting organizations as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance of Black Interpreters, D.C. chapter.

Treasurer, Nicole morgan 2018 & 2019. Treasurer@pcrid.org

Nicole Morgan graduated from Gallaudet University in May 2018, with a MA in ASL Linguistics. Her desire is to merge her expertise in linguistics with what she knows (and continues to learn) about the field of interpreting to foster better relationships between the Deaf and Interpreting communities. 

As treasurer for the 2018-20 Board of PCRID, her goals are to be a good steward over its finances, and to create initiatives that increase PCRID’s mission to be a part of changing and diversifying the face of the Interpreting community by further expanding its outreach with and between the Deaf and Interpreting organizations whom share our region.
