mentorship

PCRID Philosophy

We embrace the mentor and mentee in all of us as we commit to foster opportunities to both learn and teach.

We strive to acknowledge the fluidity of enrichment within the person, the profession, and the community, as it is essential.

We recognize mentorship has an integral part of the interpreting profession that can be used as a development tool at any point in an individual’s career.

We understand that mentorship can materialize in many different ways using a variety of models with a wide array of foci.

We acknowledge mentorship does not exist in isolation, and values internal and external collaboration, serving as a centralized source of information.

We will promote unique opportunities that advance mentoring in a variety of formats for a diverse audience.

"To acquire knowledge one must study. To acquire wisdom one must observe."

Marilyn Vos Savant

Opportunities

Although PCRID does not create mentor/mentee partner permanency, we are thrilled to offer opportunities to work and develop together.
