    CCBC is hiring a Full-Time,12 month Designated Interpreter

    The Designated Interpreter will work specifically with CCBC’s deaf faculty members and will also mentor interns in the Interpreting program. This is a full-time benefited position. The schedule is flexible and will include some day, evening, weekend hours and some virtual work. Some administrative duties will also be assigned.   

    Pay is dependent on your years of experience. Best consideration please apply by September 11th.

    HASA/CIRS is currently seeking a full time staff interpreter.  This position will primarily be community interpreting with some administration duties, medical and educational work experiences and a team player attitude preferred.     HASA/CIRS is seeking a Full Time Staff ASL Interpreter

    HASA’s Centralized Interpreter Referral Service (CIRS) is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill a full-time staff American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter position.

    HASA has been connecting individuals by scheduling reliable, high-quality interpreting services for more than 30 years. HASA is the only nonprofit provider of sign language interpreting services throughout Maryland, primarily serving the Baltimore area. 

    Under supervision, the CIRS staff American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter performs a wide variety of ASL interpretation services, in person or via remote video conferencing to provide language access services to deaf and/or hard-of-hearing persons as mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and  works closely with the CIRS Director with administrative/program needs.

    Applied Development is Hiring!

    Position: Certified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Location: Maryland/Washington, DC Metro Area

    Applied Development LLC is searching for a Nationally Certified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to provide services for Deaf or Hard of Hearing employees of a Federal Government agency on a full-time and part-time basis. Must be able to obtain or currently possess favorable background investigation.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide Sign Language Interpreting services for Deaf or Hard of Hearing employees of a Federal Government agency

    • Proficiently interpret oral communications in American Sign Language (ASL), Sign English (SE), Pidgin Sign English (PSE), or Contact Sign, and provide oral interpreting, as needed, accurately, truthfully, and faithfully

    • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle the nature of the assignments as stipulated in the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct

    • Adhere to the Federal Government’s rules of protocol, ethics, procedures and professionalism while on assignments

      Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree is preferred

    • National Certification with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National

      Association of the Deaf (NAD) is required

    • Active Secret Clearance is required

    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing Sign Language Interpreting services

      is required

    • Must be comfortable with or willing to learn agency-specific language and acronyms

    • Must adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
